How to create

Here’s some guidance when drawing or commissioning illustrations to make sure they look their best and have a touch of what makes them unique to us – energetic lines, partly filled, placed on shape backgrounds, and using an accent colour or a patterned texture.

Recommended illustrators

There are a lot of talented illustrators in the world. Here’s a few whose work fits well with our illustration style. It’s an initial list to get you started, but you might find more people making impressive work that fits our brand.

Things to avoid

To ensure illustrations look their best, and have recognisable traits that make them unique to us, avoid the following scenarios.

Do not have illustrations without at least one section filled in black

Do not fill too many sections – whether in black or any brand colour, or in a shapes pattern

Do not use extremely thin or thick lines

Do not use multiple brand colours or patterns to fill sections of an illustration. Do not use colours not specified by the brand

Do not colour the lines or patterns in an illustration

Do not use vibrant colours in the background

Do not place illustrations on globe backgrounds

Do not have illustrations on solid backgrounds or no background
