Iconography
Our iconography is functional, helpful and clear. We use the overhead globe framework as the base for the grid.
How to create
Draw your icon on the 46px grid supplied using a 4px line, ensuring the lines fall exactly within the squares in the grid. Make sure to add an energetic curve where possible. Follow the rules on minimum sizes and clear space, and ensure the icon colour helps it stand out on backgrounds, and passes accessibility for screen use.
Icon set
This is an example icon set showing different forms of icons, how they fit within the grid and the different ways energetic curves are added. Use this set to inspire your own icons.
Things to avoid
To ensure icons look and work at their best, with recognisable traits that make them unique to us, steer clear of the following scenarios.
Do not extend your icon beyond the grid
Do not draw lines that are offset from the grid
Do not fill in icons
Do not use colour combinations on screen that don’t pass accessibility
Do not create highly detailed icons
Do not use a line weight other than the one recommended
